State of TAG

Accomplishments of the past year:

President Jim Owens, has continued to increase TAG's growth in membership, attendance, exhibition space, and donations. TAG is not just painters anymore.

A thank you to Donna Rudman-Haber, TAGallery's Volunteer Coordinator, who donates refreshments, organizes hangings, does the TAG banking, and directs the day-to-day operations of TAGallery.

A thank you to Claire at the Lemon Sisters Market for her incredible service to artists of every kind, promoting their work, handling sales, and promptly remitting sale monies to the artists directly and efficiently. Claire always attends each event, and has donated refreshments.

A thank you to Noreen Shiroma, of "Exclamation" marketing and p/r for her donation of time and material to create the newer TAG logo and brochure, and to Megan Reul for adding her creative vision in updating it.

A thank you to the artists who show up, help, are pleasant and cooperative to work with, contribute their energies to making that gallery different and fun, and contribute to the development of a safe neighborhood, and make the deli space a creative environment. They support each other and stimulate creativity in each other too.

501(c)3 documents are written and ready to file, and the bank account has almost enough money for the filing fee. This is a good opportunity for members to donate their services to help with the filing and board development.

Election of Officers, President and Secretary/Treasurer, votes are cast by email to tagtheartguild@aol.com before November 2, 2005. Nominations for President and Secretary/Treasurer are accepted until October 18, 2005. Officers are responsible for Corporate development and organization.

TAG Hosts educational offerings, collaborations, workshops, demonstrations, and additional events (esp mid-month, not just First Fridays), with members, local businesses, non-profits, and galleries. Submit your proposal.
